ok, new post!

I am sitting on my bed in halls, my door propped open with a shoe box to let the smoke out. I'm watching Ghost World on tape on my TV and appreciating how quiet my flat is. My flatmate lent me a packet of Pall Mall and now my throat hurts. I have my first exam tomorrow morning. FYI tomorrow is a saturday. I was not impressed when I discovered my first exam was nine AM on a saturday. Jeez. I was also similarly unimpressed by my D I got for an art history essay. Oh me oh my o. Art history is turning out to be far more work than I ever expected. On the plus...the exam and the essays for last term count for 50% of my overall grade this year...and as long as a I keep getting Ds, or even an F or two then some Cs or Bs even, then my overall grade will still be a pass. All I need to do is pass. When it gets to proper lectures I will start to work harder - turn up to all art history lectures for one. History of art is memorable when you turn up and see the slides and everything. If you pick up the lecture notes on the sly and ask your friends what you missed you learn nothing. That is big lesson one from first term. Oh well, I will do better this year I hope. work harder, try better.

Ghost World is such a great film, I've watched it a bzillion times. Rory brought a dvd player and surround sound, Woody brought a HUGE TV and we have a great living room now. People are turning up in dribs and drabs and it's nice seeing everyone.

Went out with Dad and Steve and Steve's son Adam last night, when I got home I realised there was a two hour period of empty flat and then the clubs would close and the house would get noisy with drunk people. So I stayed up watching the Godfather and eating potato :-) when the guys got back we hugged and chatted and it was really nice. Ebany helped me revise for a coupla hours today but it was all too much like boring. We gave up. She will so do better than me in this exam. SIGH.

Anyhoo, christmas was lovely, christmas day with my Godmother, boxing day with Cat and Dad (faaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous food, thankyou caterina!) and it was cool to see my lovely friends - two 21st birthdays (Ellie and Jason). My 21st is coming up...I'm strangely excited... :-)

Chocolate mousse

I have a cold. Or at least I am beginning to get a cold. Malcolm, my flatmate gets colds, then I get them. He has a cold which means I am doomed. I have been yamming down oranges to make me better, but I've been smoking roll ups too, so that won't help. In fact, the best thing for me is just to stay in and not go to lectures. If i walk down byers road to the uni then I will get cold and that will make everything worse. I am sure. However, I have my window open to release the smoky fumes so I am gonna get cold anyway.

Ohhh...

I need a good book to read. Just finished reading Emma. Not fun. It was ok, but I'd like to read something different. Hjave been trying to read Norwegian Wood, but it keeps pissing me off. My flatmate is having a crisis. We can't really help, I think maybe I should be doing something though. I should have gone to my Russian class today. Ahh well.

Might be making chocolate mousse tonight. If my friend remembers to buy cream.

Also There's an essay I COULD write if I so desired. Maybe I should go do that. And a letter I should post. I could tidy the flat, walk down to town, buy something...no...bad plan. Sit in here. do nothing. Better plan. Oh! could go see Martha Wainright tonight, even better plan. Will check times and prices, ok turrah! xx

sunday again

good jesus it's almost monday again......goood grief.......

not sure what the plan is for today, saw 'Saw 2' yesters. In fact saw it twice!! I need to shower, and do my laundry...grr...

The laundry room is free, and it's only four floors away...and it would be nice to have clean sheets and clean clothes. I have lasted the week ok but it is definitely washing day. I really miss my mum. I want her to be somewhere where I can call her if I want to chat to her. My friends fill the gap ok, maybe I should go see some other family. Been living near my aunt for two months and still haven't seen her!! Terrible.

I really want a fag and some chocolate, and there will definitely be both in the kitchen. That's a good five yards from my room...five yards....oh i can do it, i can. Then I can shower, take my washing to the laundry room, and read Emma, for my english lit work. Oh god, that sounds so sensible.

Ok, then I'm gone!

ohhhh so tired...

It's been a particularly interesting week. Apart from the cake baking (which was very well recieved) I don't remember much of monday through friday. Yesterday I'm pretty sure me and Wood bought chips...that's really about all I can tell you. There was a party the night before - we had to dress up like pirates and go to my mates' stalker's flat. It was good, we danced, drank vodka-y punch. Me and some friends went on to another party up in town and got stalked by some strange man outside BHS or whatever on Sauchiehall street. Oh fun times. Got a taxi back with some nicely dressed young man at seven the next morning.

That day before the party started I just slept and slept and slept. It was another late night the night before. Though I can't remember what we were doing...oh well...never mind!

I have to go matriculate today, I purposely slept in and missed alllllllll my lectures. It makes you feel so nice. But now I have no baccy and have to run to the shops...ah me...

OH I just remembered I have two rolls of film from last weeks parties, I will go put them in to Snappy Snaps right now! and buy baccy, and meet Wood, and get some coffee, then matriculate...then pick up the pics, then go home! good plan! ok, thanks for your time! turrah xx

Cake day

Today is Cake Day number two, I have bought plentiful cake making supplies from understocked corner shop. Also have been to doctors to get a check up and register. Ohhhhh have to go into uni and get my matric card sorted out...grrr....how dull...there are plenty of other things I'm sure I should be doing - going to lectures and seminars, perhaps - but I would rather sit here and chat to little hazziot bean and listen to XFM on my laptop (oh london radio, how I miss it so!).

Oh Craig has come online, I will go chat to him, ok, turrah! xx
